I've been on holiday. Right before I left we had the second meeting of the Stockholmer Lispers, this time in my apartment:
which was really fun!
Christophe Rhodes generously kept an eye on clbuild for me while I was away and he tells me that David Lichteblau has been hacking on it too. I wonder if either is having so much fun that they would like to take over stewardship indefinitely? Just let me know.. :-)
I've spent the weekend convalescing under a blanket with a stubborn cold and consuming a lot of Alan Kay's and Viewpoints Research's output. Some favourites are the OOPSLA keynote that I posted on Lambda, Squeak etoys authoring and media, and
the lovely Squeakers DVD. Inspirational stuff! I've capped it off by taking my first steps in etoys hacking to move around Connectors. Gratuitous screenshot:
The scripts are developed by drag-and-drop of expression fragments and these simply move one of the boxes around to match the height of the others.
